A Griot is a West African term meaning a storyteller for a long time the Griots were the only means of sharing and passing down knowledge and history.
Today, on the Griot in me, we have Abel Maxwell. He arrived in North America without money, without connections and without a job. Today, he is an acclaimed artist and a public figure recognized internationally who inspires people to believe in themselves and make a difference with their gift. His 4th album “Contradictions” released in 2020 integrates inspiring lyrics on a carpet of Afrobeats music.

Un Griot est un terme ouest-africain signifiant un conteur, pendant longtemps, les Griots étaient le seul moyen de partager et de transmettre les connaissances et l’histoire.
Aujourd’hui, sur le Griot en moi, nous avons Abel Maxwell. Arrivé il y a une dizaine d’années en Amérique du Nord sans argent, sans emploi et sans connections, Abel Maxwell est devenu un artiste reconnu sur la plate-forme artistique internationale qui inspire les jeunes à croire en eux-mêmes et en leur capacité de faire une différence tout en conservant un regard noble sur l’humanité. Son 4e album “Contradictions” sorti en 2020 intègre des textes inspirant sur un tapis de musique Afrobeats.
